Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree requirement in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related degree from an accredited college or university.
• A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
• Twelve (12) or more years of completed education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years of experience requirements.
• Requires a security clearance; the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to employees with general concerns by making recommendations to appropriate personnel to implement a change.
• Initiate training efforts to include data entry of records, compiling reports, scheduling, facilitating new employee training, coordination and performance of contractor training, and identifying training opportunities.
• Plan updates to policies and procedures related to record keeping, reporting and safety, as needed.
• Coordinate the audit(s) environmental controls and record keeping ensuring standards are met; observe work practices and provide feedback to employees.
• Record and investigate all EHS related incidents; partner with necessary parties to resolve any identified corrective actions.
