Job summary

AESC US LLC in Smyrna, TN seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to ensure a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace at our battery manufacturing facility. You will develop, implement, and monitor EHS programs, promote safety culture, and support regulatory compliance at local, state, and federal levels while collaborating with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety or industrial engineering preferred.
• 2–5 years manufacturing safety/ES experience.
• Knowledge of life safety design and environmental regulations.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across operations, maintenance and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS support to plant personnel ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and maintain safety, health, and environmental programs.
• Audit PTW processes and support risk assessments and PPE matrix.
• Deliver internal safety training and EHS communications.
• Support engineering controls to reduce hazards.
• Ensure facility compliance with federal/state environmental regs.
• Investigate injuries, track trends, and recommend countermeasures.
• Manage SDS submissions to maintain electronic database.
• Address ergonomic planning and future model safety.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
