Job summary

Vertiv Corporation in Columbus, OH, seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety professional to support safety programs and regulatory compliance.

You will implement WE LEAD WITH SAFETY, coordinate audits, training, and incident investigations to foster a proactive safety culture across sites.

The role requires 3–5 years in electrical work or construction, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate across all levels; travel will be frequent and essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Occupational Health and Safety or Safety Science is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in Electrical work (low/medium voltage) and/or Construction.
• Strong organizational and research skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Broad knowledge of EHS, NFPA 70E, Electrical and DOT regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff.
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills for integrating safe and healthy behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Drive the personal and/or team implementation of WE LEAD WITH SAFETY.
• Promote our safety culture and lead programs to improve safety culture.
• Assist with maintaining and reporting EHS metrics and records for the Electrical Reliability Services Business.
• Assist with improvements related to work hazards, safety training and safety audits.
• Assist with records and logs as required by OSHA.
• Provide customer site support for safety issues and problems.
• Facilitation and involvement in Safety Committees.
• Involvement with Fleet Safety Program, including vehicle incident management and trend analysis.
• Measures and monitors environmental impacts per policy and regulations.
• Review and assist with development of plans, procedures and strategies implementation.
• Interface with all levels of the organization.
• Conduct accident investigation and analysis to determine improvements.
• Strong knowledge of Electrical Safety and NFPA 70E.
• Conducts safety audits and hazard assessments.
• Work with the Workers' Compensation program.
