Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an experienced EHS professional to support an early-stage discovery R&D laboratory facility. You will develop, implement, and maintain environment, health and safety programs, ensuring regulatory conformance and alignment with AbbVie’s EHS Management System.

You will lead hazard assessments, training development, and incident investigations, collaborating with colleagues across the internal EHS network to drive continuous safety improvements and a positive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing EHS regulations and incident investigations.
• Interacting with regulatory agencies and external organizations; cross-functional collaboration.
• Technical writing and business communications skills.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic EHS programs to protect personnel, facilities and the environment.
• Interpret, communicate and enforce compliance with external regulations and internal standards.
• Lead hazard identification/risk assessment and control implementation; manage hazardous waste programs.
• Develop and deliver EHS training on a variety of topics; collaborate with internal EHS network.
• Investigate incidents and injuries to determine root cause and drive corrective actions.
