Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead the development and implementation of environment, health, and safety programs at an early-stage discovery R&D facility. You will guide personnel EHS matters, train staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while advancing AbbVie's safety culture.

You will develop policies, conduct hazard analyses, and oversee programs spanning chemical, biological, and laboratory safety, while collaborating across the EHS network to share

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic EHS programs and policies.
• Interpret and enforce external regulations and internal standards.
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessment, and controls.
• Manage hazardous waste programs and contractor EHS.
• Deliver EHS training on safety topics.
• Investigate incidents and report safety performance.
