Job summary

Körber Pharma Packaging AG is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist in Fargo, ND. You will develop and manage EHS programs, lead regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across production and support functions.

The role requires strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, with the ability to train staff and coordinate emergency drills. Excellent communication and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or related field.
• Proven experience in EHS management in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Experience with safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Experience with environmental sustainability programs preferred.
• Certification in OH&S or environmental fields is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple EHS projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify safety and environmental risks.
• Lead ISO 45001 certification efforts and implement an OHSMS.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for all employees.
• Advise on safety policy development and coordinate emergency drills across locations.
• Perform safety audits and inspections of facilities.
• Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Monitor environmental performance including waste, air quality, and energy consumption.
• Maintain records related to safety, health, and environmental performance for regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address EHS issues.
• Stay updated with changes in local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
• Provide guidance on safe work practices and environmental stewardship.
• Support management with EHS-related projects.
