Job summary

Nemak in Augusta, GA is seeking an EHS Specialist to develop, implement, and oversee environmental, health, and safety programs across the plant. You will ensure regulatory compliance, support ISO 14001, 45001, and 50001 initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

You will conduct hazard analyses, incident investigations, training, audits, and manage permits, waste handling, air emissions, and energy management activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in OHS or related field.
• 3+ years in HSE within Manufacturing.
• Board of Certified Safety Professionals Certification (Desired).
• RCRA / DOT Certification.
• 2+ years of ISO 14001, 45001, 50001 experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain EHS programs to meet regulatory and company standards.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Train staff on EHS topics and maintain training records.
• Manage permits, waste handling, spill response, and air emissions programs.
• Report EHS metrics and support contractor EHS pre-qualification.
