Kaiser Aluminum in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to join onsite. The role centers on complying with federal, state, and local EH&S regulations and managing programs for waste, air and wastewater monitoring, and safety training.

You will report to the EHS Manager, collaborate with multiple departments and vendors, and help advance ISO 14001:2015 and incident investigations. This position requires an onsite presence with no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• 1–3 years industrial experience preferred.
• Manufacturing experience and MS Office familiarity a plus.

Responsabilités

• Support and maintain a Best in Class work environment free of safety hazards.
• Assist with maintaining ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management System certification.
• Assist with regulatory reports such as AER, Tier II, and wastewater monitoring.
• Coordinate and conduct environmental & safety training for employees and contractors.
• Maintain training completion rate goals for the facility.
• Support the Safety Dialogue and Lockout/Tagout audit systems.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Properly file and maintain EHS department paperwork.
• Assist the EHS Manager with health and safety related projects and initiatives.
