Job summary

Allied Reliability is seeking an EHS Specialist III to join our Performance Materials team in Malcom, IA. You will drive environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations and internal standards, and foster a culture of safety across the site.

This role collaborates with the site manager and EHS leaders, conducts risk assessments, develops training, and supports emergency preparedness. Travel to other sites to share best practices may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years in industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently under broad goals with minimal guidance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Environmental Reporting and Safety Management Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, hazardous waste management, spill prevention, and internal standards.
• Enhance site programs to maintain licensure to operate while promoting safety culture.
• Lead site security initiatives and mitigate security risks to uphold standards.
• Collaborate with the site manager and contribute to site success.
• Work with EHS experts across the organization and report to the EHS Director for Performance Materials NA.
• Develop and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures for the site.
• Perform risk assessments and address identified deficiencies in line with corporate policies.
• Provide guidance to site leadership on EHS issues and facilitate training across the organization.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of EHS processes and metrics.
