Job summary

Fabpro Polymers, a subsidiary of Master Builders Solutions, seeks an EHS Specialist I in Kingman, KS to lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance and continual safety improvements. The role emphasizes audits, training, risk assessments, and cross-functional collaboration to reduce risk and enhance productivity.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a related field, professional EHS certification preferred, and 3–5 years in manufacturing settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Certification in Environmental Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CHMM, OSHA) preferred.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
• At least 3-5 years of experience in EHS, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Provide safety training and educational programs to employees to promote a culture of safety.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to EHS.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses, prepare reports, and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop risk assessments, safe work practices, and emergency response plans.
• Monitor and manage environmental impact, ensuring the company adheres to sustainability and waste reduction goals.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies as needed to ensure compliance and address potential issues.
• Identify opportunities for process safety improvements in production, operations, and quality.
• Collaborate with department managers and teams to implement improvement projects and track their success.
• Develop metrics to measure progress on Safety improvement initiatives and regularly report on outcomes.
