Job summary

Amazon seeks a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to lead safety programs and audits, investigate incidents, and drive a proactive culture. You will collaborate with partners to implement data-driven safety solutions that protect associates and improve operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• /nAn EHS-related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) role or 6 months in a safety-related role at Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel in a professional setting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in matters involving security or personnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs with data-driven strategies and daily audits.
• Investigate incidents and perform risk assessments to prevent injuries.
• Develop and deliver safety training that drives a proactive safety culture.
• Advise associates and leadership on safety and wellbeing initiatives.
