Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to elevate safety culture across our facilities. You will lead safety audits, investigations, and risk assessments, while delivering engaging training and championing continuous improvement to protect associates.

You’ll advocate for associate wellbeing, build cross-functional partnerships, and translate safety data into actionable insights that drive safer behaviors and stronger safety outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in EHS-related field or equivalent safety experience
• OSHA regulations knowledge esp. 29 CFR 1910
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in workplace matters
• Strong communication, teamwork, analytical and judgment skills
• Experience leading a team and analyzing safety data and hazards
• First Aid and CPR certificates; emergency response experience
• Workers compensation case management experience

Responsibilities

• Drive safety program excellence with data-driven strategies; conduct daily safety audits, investigations and risk assessments; deliver engaging safety trainings.
• Advocate for associate wellbeing; build partnerships across all levels and drive safety culture improvements; translate safety data into compelling narratives to influence action
