Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to drive safety at our Phoenix, AZ sites. You will lead safety programs, conduct audits and investigations, and deliver safety training to protect associates while keeping operations productive.

Collaborating with frontline teams and leadership, you will translate safety data into decisive actions, foster a proactive culture, and support site emergency response and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year in an EHS-related field OR a bachelor’s degree in EHS OR 6 months in an Amazon safety role.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in safety matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Deliver engaging safety training to associates and leadership.
• Champion continuous safety improvement initiatives while maintaining operations.
• Act as a safety advisor to frontline associates and managers.
• Support emergency response and on-site safety activities.
