Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to provide technical EHS support to our data center teams. You will reinforce safe work conditions and serve as an extension of the EHS engineering team.

Responsibilities include reviewing procedures, establishing maintenance for safety-critical equipment, calibrating instruments, maintaining IH studies, training employees, and supporting incident investigations and emergency planning.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in environmental, health and safety programs.
• "BCSP certification" (ASP/CSP/SMS/OHST) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive reviews of procedures and draft JHAs to define hazard controls before work execution.
• Establish preventative maintenance procedures for safety-critical equipment and devices.
• Calibrate and service EHS instrumentation.
• Maintain records for industrial hygiene studies, employee training and work permits.
• Qualify PPE requirements through hazard analysis and standards review.
• Conduct safety inspections and address deficiencies to mitigate risk.
• Conduct incident investigations and provide corrective action recommendations.
• Support emergency response planning and training content for teams.
• Review lockout/tagout procedures for complex work cells and machinery.
• Monitor safety equipment inventories and PPE supplies.
