Job summary

Horizontal Talent seeks an experienced EHS professional to join a fast-paced team overseeing facilities operations, compliance, and continuous improvement. You will build practical programs, partner across teams, and drive safer workplaces through data-driven decisions.

The role emphasizes developing and maintaining effective EHS programs, training materials, and safety policies while supporting regulatory compliance and incident investigation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in environmental, health, and safety programs.
  • Experience developing, launching, or maintaining effective EHS programs.
  • Strong understanding of EPA RCRA and DOT 49 CFR requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support EHS initiatives to strengthen safety culture and reduce incidents.
  • Ensure facilities meet local, state, and federal environmental and safety requirements.
  • Develop and improve safety policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Partner with leaders to support risk management and incident response.
  • Investigate incidents and participate in follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Create and deliver EHS training to support awareness and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate EHS records and use data trends to inform decisions.
  • Conduct routine documentation reviews, hazard assessments, and safety audits.
  • Support chemical safety activities including inventory management.
  • Classify waste streams in alignment with RCRA requirements.
  • Assist with Satellite Accumulation Area management and hazardous waste signatures.
  • Prepare environmental regulatory reports.
