Job summary

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) is seeking a motivated EHS Specialist to build and strengthen its EHS program in a fast-growing manufacturing setting. This role is based at ABTC's Lithium-Ion Battery Recycling Facility in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRIC), McCarran, Nevada, where you will promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience as an environmental, health or safety professional in manufacturing/oil & gas/construction.
• Experience with hazard analysis methods, hazard communication, OSHA compliance, incident investigation and corrective action management.
• Experience implementing ISO 14001 and 45001 programs.
• Ability to work under pressure while managing competing demands and deadlines.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and improve the EHS Management System and related procedures, inspections, trainings and reports.
• Partner with site stakeholders to ensure changes reduce health, safety and environmental risks.
• Perform audits/inspections, document results and verify closure.
• Analyze event trends to identify continuous-improvement projects.
• Facilitate investigations with a Learning Teams approach and preventive actions.
• Support pre-job planning, verification of controls, and training on EHS topics.
• Monitor and manage EHS systems and tools onsite, including event reporting and action tracking.
• Deliver EHS training and facilitate EHS Subcommittees.
