Job description

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) is an industry-leading battery metals and critical material technology development and commercialization company. Our Pilot Plant just outside of Reno, Nevada will be the first integrated implementation of our multi-step processing train for the full mechanical processing, physical separation, chemical extraction, and production of commercial‑scale battery metals that will be resold back into the battery manufacturing supply chain to enact a low‑cost, low environmental impact, and domestically sourced closed‑loop circular economy.

As a Quality Technician for Feedstock Inspection, you will be responsible for safely inspecting incoming feedstock material providing detailed reports used by cross‑functional teams upstream and downstream of our operation. The reporting structure can range from Pack to Cell Material disassembly to writing Standard Operating Procedures to train our operations team.

Requirements
  • Inspect and label incoming feedstock based on quality metrics
  • Disassemble feedstock in a safe manner recording accurate step by step process
  • Documentation of new processes and challenges
  • Train and support team operations daily
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet document requirements.
  • Support audits and ensure records are accurate, traceable, and accessible.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in engineering, construction, industrial, or highly regulated industries.
  • Experience with energized electrical systems
  • Knowledge of low to high voltage systems
  • Knowledge of documenting standard operating procedures
  • Professional training or certification for hand tools, NFPA 70E, document writing
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, servicing or general analysis of large battery systems or
  • Proficiency with document management and writing standard operating procedures
  • Hands‑on environment working with power tools
  • Strong cross‑functional communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
Skill & Competencies
  • Strong understanding of energized systems including electric vehicle packs and energy storage systems
  • Proficiency with DMS/EDMS platforms and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with experience in collaboration tools such as SharePoint or Teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage high document volumes, competing priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail in fast‑paced, project‑driven environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey standards and procedures to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders while collaborating effectively across functions.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Work in manufacturing environments that may include exposure to noise and dust for extended periods of time
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to bend at the waist.
  • Ability to wear PPE, which includes but is not limited to the following: eye and face protection, hearing protection, respirators, and protective shoes and shoe coverings.
  • 20/20 or correct vision

Expected Pay Range

$25/hr - $40+/hr.

Compensation for this position may vary based on a number of individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The total compensation package may also include additional components such as bonus, equity, and benefits, which will be detailed upon offer of employment.
