Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist for a Mason, OH site. This 1099 contractor role offers a weekly pay schedule, with a potential full-time conversion based on performance.

The position covers safety walks, audits, hazard assessments, and EHS program development in a high-precision aerospace tooling environment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in EHS within manufacturing and OSHA 30 certification.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing.
OSHA 30 General Industry Certification required.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine facility safety walks, audits, observations and hazard assessments.
Provide EHS support for machining, milling, welding, fabrication and assembly operations.
Identify workplace hazards, compliance gaps and employee exposures.
Document findings and provide EHS report-outs to facility management.
Develop, review and revise EHS programs, procedures and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with manufacturing leadership to address safety concerns and track corrective actions.
Support OSHA General Industry compliance across manufacturing operations.
Evaluate machine-related hazards and safe work practices.
Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions and maintain EHS documentation.
