Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager for a Danville, VA site. This 6-month contract is 1099 with an opportunity for full-time conversion.

Pay rate is $59/hr with weekly pay and a $150/month completion bonus; schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 5:00 PM, 40–50 hours/week. Role focuses on leading environmental compliance programs, including Title V air permits, OSHA 1910, hazardous waste, stormwater, and wastewater.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1910 General Industry standards.
• Experience with Title V air permitting, CAM, RCRA, and SWPPP.
• Experience coordinating inspections, audits, and regulatory reporting.
• Ability to lead multiple environmental programs and teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental compliance requirements, inspections, deadlines, and reporting obligations.
• Support Title V air compliance including emissions monitoring and CAM requirements.
• Maintain environmental compliance tracking spreadsheets and regulatory records.
• Oversee hazardous waste programs, storage, inspections, and shipments.
• Coordinate stormwater inspections, sampling, and SWPPP compliance activities.
• Coordinate wastewater sampling, data collection, and recordkeeping.
• Manage refrigerant and ODS compliance programs and inventories.
• Coordinate environmental vendors, labs, contractors, and operations leadership.
• Support OSHA General Industry compliance guidance on site.
• Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed and documented.
• Prepare for environmental inspections, audits, and internal reviews.
• Maintain organized records to ensure audit readiness.
