Job summary

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Support and conduct EHS audits, develop action plans to resolve findings, and implement countermeasures promptly and effectively.
  • Perform risk assessments related to jobs performed, such as Job Hazard Analysis for new processes and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for reporting to onsite management and corporate reporting systems.
  • Support management efforts to ensure compliance with corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state laws.
  • Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures, including ergonomics.
  • Establish and manage the safety committee.

Job Title: EHS SpecialistJob Description

The EHS Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring safe working conditions and preventing occupational diseases and industrial health hazards. This role involves promoting environmental, health, and safety (EHS) awareness throughout the organization and acting as a key contact for safety and environmental issues. The EHS Specialist will support regulated waste management and compliance tasks, including stormwater sampling, waste inspections, chemical inventory, and life safety audits.

Work Environment

The role requires the ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for up to 10 hours. The position is based across two locations, one in Seattle and one in Bellevue.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
