We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented EHS Specialist to work closely with the EHS Manager in fostering a zero-injury culture. This role involves ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment, engaging with employees to promote safe practices, and collaborating on safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve EHS policies.
• Address safety concerns and facilitate communication and resources.
• Conduct safety training sessions, including new hire orientations.
• Assist in developing and maintaining training records in collaboration with HR and Training managers.
• Conduct environmental sampling, audits, and record keeping.
• Observe work practices and engage with employees to promote safety.
• Complete safety inspections and checklists.
• Assist with Job Safety Assessments and Job Hazard Analyses.
• Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee activities.
• Assist with incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS, Occupational Safety, or related field preferred; relevant experience and certifications will be considered.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal compliance standards preferred.
• Ability to develop and facilitate safety training.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, problem solver, and detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint and Teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
