Job summary

The GOR Group is recruiting an EHS Specialist for a client delivering a large scale data center construction project. This is a field based role for someone who can spot hazards early, support construction teams, and help maintain safe, consistent practices throughout the project.

You will work alongside site leadership and project teams to conduct inspections, deliver training, maintain safety records, and follow through on corrective actions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a construction safety role.
• Experience implementing safety programs, identifying hazards, and supporting corrective actions on construction sites.
• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or related field, or BCSP certification (CSP/ASP/CHST/OHST).
• Strong communication and organizational skills; proficient in Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Implement site safety policies and procedures per OSHA and IIPP.
• Deliver safety orientations and training for employees and partners.
• Inspect work areas, identify hazards, recommend and verify corrective actions.
• Maintain records for audits, inspections, PT plans, JHAs, and SDS.
• Participate in accident investigations and document findings.
• Communicate safety expectations clearly to field teams.
• Support other on-site EHS activities as needs evolve.

EHS Specialist | Data Center Construction

Location: Onsite at a data center construction project

The GOR Group is recruiting an EHS Specialist for a client delivering a large scale data center construction project. This is a field based role for someone who can spot hazards early, support construction teams, and help maintain safe, consistent practices throughout the project.

You will work alongside site leadership and project teams to conduct inspections, deliver training, maintain safety records, and follow through on corrective actions.

What You'll Do

• Implement site safety policies and procedures in accordance with applicable OSHA regulations and the client's Injury and Illness Prevention Program.
• Deliver safety orientations and training for employees and project partners.
• Inspect work areas, identify potential hazards, recommend corrective actions, and verify that those actions are completed.
• Maintain records for audits, inspections, Pre-Task Plans, Job Hazard Analyses, and Safety Data Sheets.
• Participate in accident and injury investigations and help prepare related documentation when needed.
• Communicate safety expectations clearly and help field teams apply them during daily work.
• Support other site EHS activities as project needs evolve.

What You Bring

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar construction safety role.
• Experience implementing safety programs, identifying hazards, and supporting corrective actions on construction sites.
• A bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field, or a BCSP certification such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or OHST.
• Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Experience with large structured cabling projects or data center construction is highly preferred. OSHA Outreach Trainer certification for OSHA 10 and 30 hour courses is also preferred.
