Job summary

The GOR Group, LLC is seeking an EHS Specialist for a large data center construction project. This field-based role focuses on hazard spotting, supporting construction teams, and maintaining safe practices onsite.

You will conduct inspections, deliver training, maintain safety records, and follow up on corrective actions with site leadership and project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of construction safety experience.
• Experience implementing safety programs and identifying hazards.
• Bachelor's degree in OH&S or BCSP certification preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Implement site safety policies per OSHA regulations and IEP.
• Deliver safety orientations and training for workers and partners.
• Inspect areas for hazards and verify corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, audits, Pre-Task Plans, and SDS docs.
• Participate in accident investigations and document findings.
• Communicate safety expectations to field teams.
• Support other EHS activities as the project evolves.

EHS Specialist | Data Center Construction

Location: Onsite at a data center construction project

The GOR Group is recruiting an EHS Specialist for a client delivering a large scale data center construction project. This is a field based role for someone who can spot hazards early, support construction teams, and help maintain safe, consistent practices throughout the project.

You will work alongside site leadership and project teams to conduct inspections, deliver training, maintain safety records, and follow through on corrective actions.

What You'll Do

• Implement site safety policies and procedures in accordance with applicable OSHA regulations and the client's Injury and Illness Prevention Program.
• Deliver safety orientations and training for employees and project partners.
• Inspect work areas, identify potential hazards, recommend corrective actions, and verify that those actions are completed.
• Maintain records for audits, inspections, Pre-Task Plans, Job Hazard Analyses, and Safety Data Sheets.
• Participate in accident and injury investigations and help prepare related documentation when needed.
• Communicate safety expectations clearly and help field teams apply them during daily work.
• Support other site EHS activities as project needs evolve.

What You Bring

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar construction safety role.
• Experience implementing safety programs, identifying hazards, and supporting corrective actions on construction sites.
• A bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field, or a BCSP certification such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or OHST.
• Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Experience with large structured cabling projects or data center construction is highly preferred. OSHA Outreach Trainer certification for OSHA 10 and 30 hour courses is also preferred.
