Job summary

Garmac Limited LLC is seeking a Data Center EHS Specialist to manage on-site safety operations, ensuring compliance with PMO standards and safety protocols. The role focuses on driving excellence, safety, and innovation in modern data center deployment.

Responsibilities include hazard identification, safety training delivery, and maintaining safety documentation such as audits, JHAs, and SDSs. Strong MS Word/Excel skills and construction/data center experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Plans and implements safety policies in compliance with OSHA regulations and IIPP.
• Develops, implements, and delivers safety training programs.
• Maintains safety documentation including audits, JHAs, PTAs (PTPs) and SDSs.
• Participates in accident investigations and supports hearings and insurance cases.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day EHS operations on-site following PMO standards and methodologies.
• Inspect facilities to identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and verify implementation.
• Contribute to safety programs for large-scale construction and data center projects.

Job description

As a Data Center EHS Specialist, you’ll manage day-to-day operations by applying established PMO standards, processes, and methodologies. You’ll drive excellence, safety, and innovation on-site — setting new benchmarks for what’s possible in modern data center deployment.

Requirements

• Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA regulations and Safety Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
• Develops, implements, and delivers safety and orientation training programs.
• Inspects facilities to identify existing or potential hazards, recommends corrective measures, and verifies implementation.
• Maintains safety documentation including audits, inspections, Pre-Task Plans (PTP), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
• Participates in accident and injury investigations and supports preparation of materials for hearings, lawsuits, and insurance cases.
• Excellent communication, organization, prioritization skills, and proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ year's experience in the construction industry in a similar role. Experience with large structured cabling projects and/ord data center construction projects highly preferred.
• Experience developing and implementing safety programs, conducting hazard mitigation activities, and supporting large-scale construction projects (data center experience preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety or related field Or a BCSP Certification (such as CSP, ASP, CHST or OHST).

Preferred professional certifications

• OSHA Outreach Trainer Certification for OSHA 10/30 Hour
