We manufacture advanced memory foam mattresses that help you sleep cooler and more comfortably through the night so that you wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on whatever the day throws at you.

Job Summary:

the EHS Specialist works with the EHS Manager to plan, direct, and implement the company's EHS program, to ensure and incident-free work environment, and is responsible for ensuring compliance with all EHS policies. While having a general knowledge company-wide, this position will focus on compliance monitoring and reporting in all areas of the company. This position would also respond to emergency situations when they arise and will support the EHS Manager and operations team to foster a zero-tolerance culture and ensure compliance.

Salary Range:

• $68,000-75,000 annual salary

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:

• Supports all efforts related to the EHS Strategic Plan.
• Enforces compliance of EHS and transportation programs.
• Represents the company with regulatory agencies such as OSHA & ADOSH.
• Conducts compliance site audits as assigned and appropriate EHS inspections and audits, and ensures corrective actions are monitored and documented.
• Conducts risk assessments related to jobs performed by employees and suggests risk mitigation strategies through the Job Safety Analysis process and recommends and implements appropriate risk mitigation measures.
• Handles EHS related employee complaints, responds to and investigates events including emergency situations when they arise, injuries, near-miss events, and drives closure of effective corrective / preventive actions, as assigned.
• Maintains accurate daily, weekly, and monthly documentation and metrics to complete reports for onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systems, to ensure compliance with external / internal audits and Federal, State, and Local EHS regulations, and to update Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
• Prepares environmental compliance reports and permits and provides managers with regulatory information and direction.
• Completes and documents all regulatory compliance activities through the EHS Calendar according to regulatory deadlines.
• Facilitates organization and leadership development efforts to address the root cause of EHS related issues.
• Trains, coaches, and assists others (managers, employees, contractors, etc.) to complete their safety and compliance responsibilities with all EHS program expectations and applicable federal & state laws such as audits, following safety rules, orientation, etc.
• Maintains EHS employee files.
• Other duties as assigned
