Job summary

Gables Search Group is seeking a Field Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to support two operations. The role focuses on building relationships with employees and supervisors while driving safety and environmental compliance.

You will lead EHS and MSHA compliance, perform inspections, manage corrective actions, and support training, reporting, and regulatory inspections across both locations. This position requires travel and field presence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of EHS experience in chemical, mining, industrial minerals, manufacturing, heavy industry, construction materials, utilities, or a similar industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience conducting inspections, recognizing hazards, investigating incidents, and managing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS and MSHA compliance activities across both locations.
• Conduct field inspections, identify hazards, investigate incidents, and drive corrective actions to completion.
• Maintain safety programs, training records, compliance calendars, and required documentation.
• Support MSHA inspections, training, task training, and hazard awareness.
• Prepare and maintain required reports, permits, sampling records, manifests, and agency documentation.
• Lead or support safety committees, toolbox talks, employee training, and emergency preparedness.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, and leadership to build practical and proactive EHS programs.
• Serve as a key point of contact during regulatory inspections and follow up on findings and corrective actions.

What We're Looking For
