Job summary

Watco is hiring a Site Safety Coordinator to lead the development and ongoing management of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across operations. The role partners with terminal leadership, teams, and customers to foster a proactive safety culture, identify hazards, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will conduct inspections, lead safety trainings, maintain documentation, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• First Aid/CPR certified.
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification.
• HAZWOPER or equivalent hazardous materials training.
• Minimum of 3 years of EHS or industrial safety experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and Watco policies.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and training to identify unsafe acts or conditions and implement corrective actions.
• Lead safety meetings, job briefings, and training sessions for terminal personnel.
• Maintain safety documentation including JSAs/JHAs, SOPs, and training records.
• Coordinate and document required training (Hazmat Awareness, PPE, LOTO, Fall Protection, Fire Safety, Emergency Response, Respiratory Protection).
• Support onboarding and orientation to ensure completion of safety training and documentation before field work.
• Assist in incident investigations and determine root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain OSHA 300 logs, Velocity entries, and other reporting requirements.
