Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking an EHS Safety & Operational Training Specialist to champion site-wide safety compliance and frontline training. You will apply WCM and Lean methods to build a safe, skilled workforce and serve as the safety liaison for regulatory compliance and emergency response.

The role combines field auditing, technical EHS support, trainer coaching, and continuous improvement driving across shifts. Strong coaching, communication, and project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing/production leadership role.
• Hands-on training or EHS operations experience preferred.
• OSHA/EPA safety framework knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and maintain EHS programs, SOPs, and records.
• Lead onboarding and technical training with Level 4 certification.
• Conduct site safety audits, hazard surveys, and risk assessments.
• Oversee PIT certification and safe operating procedures for workers.
• Coach teams on WCM and Lean tools to drive improvements.
• Lead emergency response drills and Train-the-Trainer programs.
