Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking an EHS Safety & Operational Training Specialist to champion site-wide environmental, health, and safety compliance while leading frontline training. You will integrate safety programs with Lean and WCM practices, acting as a key contact for regulations, emergency response, and operator development.

You will audit safety, coach teams, and drive training initiatives including PIT certification, onboarding, and safety modules for varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of team leadership in a manufacturing environment.
• 1 year hands-on training or EHS operations experience.
• Active PIT license or ability to obtain; OSHA 30 General Industry within 1 year.
• WCM/Lean knowledge (4P Method, 2- or 4- Step Process) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safety Compliance & Program Management: Develop and maintain EHS programs, SOPs, and records.
• Training Leadership & Onboarding: Lead site onboarding and Level 4 training plans.
• Technical EHS Support & Field Audits: Conduct site audits, hazard surveys, and implement programs.
• Standardization & PIT Certification: Train drivers, certify PIT operators, and standardize work.
• Continuous Improvement & Coaching: Lead Kaizen events and coach operators in WCM/Lean.
• Emergency Response & Training Facilitation: Lead responses and deliver safety trainings.
