Job summary

The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to support the District's safety and compliance programs.

Under general supervision, this position provides direct environmental health and safety services to employees and operational divisions, assisting in the development, implementation, and auditing of EH&S programs across a wide range of regulatory topics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety-related field required.
• Two years of professional occupational health or safety experience.
• Must be able to work after-hours and with varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Investigate accidents and incidents; document findings and reports.
• Conduct safety inspections of District facilities and worksites.
• Develop and audit OSHA-compliant safety programs.
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and manage inspections.
