Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking an EHS Specialist I to support the health and safety program across a manufacturing facility. You will assist in developing and maintaining safety systems, overseeing plant safety across multiple buildings, environmental controls, regulatory compliance, and training.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor’s degree in EH&S preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and the ability to work independently and in a team in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s in EH&S preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Process Safety Management where applicable.
• Aid in accident investigations including workers’ compensation.
• Help in compliance with Hazardous and Universal Waste regulations.
• Provide safety training on hazard communications, new employee safety orientation, lead awareness, hearing conservation, hazardous waste, fire safety, CPR and first aid, and bloodborne pathogens.
• Track requirements for annual testing including audiograms, blood lead testing, and industrial hygiene monitoring.
• Assist in implementation and enforcement of company safety policies.
• Assist with Energetics training and Range safety where applicable.
• Assist with radiation safety compliance.
• Complete safety inspections (fire extinguishers, eyewash, etc.).
• Lead and/or participate in Safety Committee meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all EHS programs and procedures.
• Assist with emergencies and evacuation protocols.
