Job summary

The ICL location is seeking an entry-level Environmental Health and Safety support professional to assist with EHS record keeping, training, drills, inspections, and waste labeling. This role offers exposure to senior leadership and the possibility of a full-time opportunity upon successful completion of projects. Candidates are pursuing a B.S.

or M.S. in Safety Studies, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or related fields and are prepared to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. or MS in Safety Studies, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or related field.
• Completed at least sophomore year of university.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
• Ability to set priorities and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
• Highly motivated and eager to learn.
• Strong computer skills.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and/or overtime as required to complete specific projects.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with EHS record keeping
• Developing and delivering EHS training
• Participating in emergency drills
• Performing routine safety and environmental inspections
• Labeling waste containers for disposal
• Maintaining and updating the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) program
• Participating in learning team investigations
• Performing equipment calibrations
