Job summary

GOTAFE in the United States (West Virginia) is offering an EHS internship. You will assist with EHS record keeping, develop and deliver EHS training, participate in emergency drills, and perform routine safety inspections. Opportunity to work nights/weekends as needed and potentially transition to full-time.

Relocation/housing assistance is available for those living far from the ICL location, with paid holidays and casual dress. Candidates pursuing a B.S./M.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Safety Studies or related field.
• Completed at least sophomore year of university study.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to set priorities and maintain attention to detail.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with EHS record keeping.
• Develop and deliver EHS training.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with EHS record keeping
• Developing and delivering EHS training
• Participating in emergency drills
• Performing routine safety and environmental inspections
• Labeling waste containers for disposal
• Maintaining and updating the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) program
• Participating in learning team investigations
• Performing equipment calibrations

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in Safety Studies, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or a related field
• Completed at least sophomore year of university study
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels
• Ability to set priorities and demonstrate strong attention to detail
• Highly motivated and eager to learn
• Strong computer skills
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and/or overtime as required to complete specific projects

Compensation & Benefits
