Job summary

Vertiv Anderson facility in Pelzer, SC seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional to plan, implement, and manage local EHS programs. You will drive safety culture, coordinate training, maintain records, and ensure OSHA/Vertiv compliance across processes and equipment.

The role emphasizes risk reduction, incident investigation support, and collaboration with the EHS leader and operations teams to promote continuous safety improvements and zero injuries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or warehouse operations.
• Strong familiarity with construction activities including rigging and loading.
• Strong organizational and research skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and promote safety as a Vertiv core value and drive a positive safety culture.
• Identify and prioritize EHS initiatives in support of business needs.
• Coordinate with Learning and Development team to evaluate, develop, and assist in required EHS training for employees.
• Maintain site safety records, such as SDS, JSA, and ergonomic assessments.
• Maintain incident and injury records and logs as required by OSHA and Vertiv.
• Some travel may be required for training and cross-facility inspections and audits.
• Perform safety/environmental/housekeeping facility walkthroughs regularly.
• Maintain data collection and reporting systems for EHS metrics and KPIs.
• Coordinate EHS metrics and best practices with the Vertiv Operating System (VOS).
• Ensure new equipment, machines, workstations, and assembly lines meet safety and regulatory requirements.
• Advise the EHS leader on facility risks, incidents, actions, programs, and policies.
• Measure and monitor environmental impacts in conformance with policy and regulations.
• Establish, monitor, enforce, and improve EHS systems to reduce risk and injuries.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments.
• Maintain and assist with employee safety committee and safety promotions.
• Assist in incident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Support the Emergency and Crisis Management Response Program and MERT.
• Conduct audits with facility contractors and ensure guidelines are understood.
• Normal work week is Monday–Friday; some after-hours and weekend work may be required.
