Job summary

Vertiv Pelzer facility is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional to plan, implement and manage local EHS programs and initiatives, promoting a culture of safety and daily risk reduction. This role provides direction to the Pelzer Point management team and ensures compliance with national, state and local regulations.

Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining safety as a core value, coordinating with Learning and Development for EHS training, maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years in manufacturing, construction, or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with construction activities including rigging and loading.
• Strong organizational and research skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of management.
• Experience using Smartsheet, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and promote safety as a Vertiv core value and drive a positive safety culture.
• Identify and prioritize EHS initiatives in support of business needs.
• Coordinate with Learning and Development for EHS training.
• Maintain site safety records (SDS, JSA, Ergonomic Assessments).
• Maintain incident and injury records and logs per OSHA and Vertiv.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments.
• Maintain data collection and reporting systems for EHS metrics and KPIs.
• Coordinate EHS metrics with the Vertiv Operating System (VOS).
• Assist in incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Support Emergency and Crisis Management and local MERT.
• Some travel may be required for training and cross-facility inspections.
