Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Safety Coordinator for the GAC St. Louis site to develop, implement and improve safety and environmental programs, protecting people, facilities and the business.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of industrial safety experience, strong OSHA/EPA knowledge, and the ability to lead audits, training and cross‑functional initiatives across operations and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; 5 years safety experience in an industrial setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Safety (OSHA) and Environmental statutes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect locations to analyze safety and environmental programs and identify problem areas; recommend changes and PPE.
• Develop and promote safety and environmental policies/programs for all employees.
• Coordinate all Industrial Hygiene sampling requirements for this area.
• Ensure all accidents are investigated to determine corrective action and prevention plan.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA/EPD and Gulfstream standards; coordinate with legal/operational/engineering teams.
• Schedule safety/environmental training and ensure completion of required OSHA/EPA/EPD and Gulfstream training.
• Serve as liaison with Six Sigma/Lean Groups during implementation projects.
• Coordinate audits with ISO14001/OHSAS 18001 entities; report findings and required corrective actions.
