Job summary

Client Company in Johnson City, Tennessee, seeks an experienced EHS&S Engineer to lead environmental, health, safety and security initiatives across multiple manufacturing facilities in the Eastern Tennessee region.

The role requires 5+ years of EHS experience (with degree) or 8+ years (without degree) and strong ISO knowledge, regulatory expertise, and leadership. Onsite position with relocation assistance and an opportunity to advance in a global manufacturing organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing environment (with degree).
• 8+ years of manufacturing EHS experience (without degree).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, TDEC, and environmental regulations.
• Experience implementing or managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with the confidence to influence all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead Environmental, Health, Safety & Security programs across multiple manufacturing facilities
• Develop and implement strategic EHSS initiatives that improve workplace safety and environmental compliance
• Manage departmental budgets and safety improvement projects
• Represent the facility on the Global EHSS Council
• Lead ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety observations, incident investigations, and risk assessments
• Develop and deliver EHSS training programs for employees and leadership
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, TDEC, and other regulations
• Manage Workers’ Compensation processes and injury reduction initiatives
• Monitor key performance metrics and recommend process improvements
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization
