Job summary

Crysalis Biosciences, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality (EHS&Q) Manager to lead compliance across safety, environmental and quality programs.

The role emphasizes regulatory reporting, training, and a culture of Safety First within a 24-hour plant operation. The ideal candidate will have a background in regulatory compliance and quality management, strong leadership, and the ability to collaborate with the Plant Leadership Team to drive operational excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in compliance, quality management, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting and safety standards.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• Experience with quality audits and quality management systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24-hour plant operations related to Quality Assurance, EHS, Employee Training, and Compliance.
• Develop and maintain a safety training program
• Champion a culture of “Safety First” and “Right the First Time.”
• Serve as a member of the Plant Leadership Team, contributing to goal-setting, planning, and performance review.
• Manage QA/QC, Safety, Environmental Control, Regulatory Reporting, and Permitting programs.
• Implement QA/QC practices consistent with the best industry standards for the ethanol industry.
• Supervise QA laboratory technicians and ensure that they receive appropriate training and resources.
• Maintain compliance with all city, county, state, and federal regulations.
• Prepare analytical reports and recommend operational improvements to help ensure quality products, a safe working environment, and regulatory compliance.
