Job summary

WM is seeking an experienced EHS leader to provide management and staff support for environmental, safety, and regulatory programs across operations projects. This role interfaces with staff at multiple levels to ensure regulatory conformance and continuous safety improvements, including ISO 14001/9001 procedures.

Travel up to 50% to customer sites is required. The ideal candidate has a BS in a related field and 10+ years in health and safety within manufacturing settings, with strong leadership

Qualifications

• B.S. in Science, Engineering, Safety, Environmental, or similar degree.
• 10+ years hands-on and programmatic health & safety/compliance experience.
• 5 years experience working within manufacturing and industrial operations.
• Must live and work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site or off-site WMSS project staff guidance and support and communicate expectations for implementing or maintaining required EHS programs.
• Conduct remote or on-site initial start-up, safety and environmental assessments, and ISO audits for conformance and compliance.
• Travel to customer sites to observe and assist in implementing EHS programs and safety best practices.
• Develop and manage various EHS programs and procedures, including DOT/driver qualification files, incident tracking, and training materials.
