Job summary

Bowdoin College seeks an Assistant Director of Environmental Health and Safety to support the Director in maintaining a comprehensive EHS program. You will develop safety programs meeting federal, state, and local regulations and provide campus outreach across departments to promote risk reduction.

You will manage the campus LMS for EHS training, supervise one Safety Specialist, and help build programs from the ground up while ensuring safety for students, faculty, and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• RCRA Hazardous Waste and DOT Hazardous Materials training.
• 4-7 years of experience in related position/field.
• Proficiency in OSHA, EPA, MEDEP, NFPA and state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of EHS in maintaining the EHS program.
• Develop and maintain safety programs meeting regulations.
• Provide campus outreach and education across departments.
• Manage campus LMS for EHS training programs.
