Job summary

Lufthansa Technik is seeking an EHS Specialist for our Aguadilla, PR location to administer the EHS program and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. You will coordinate audits, support departments, and monitor all EHS processes on site.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in environmental tech or IH, Hazwoper, RCRA, and English fluency, with at least 3 years in occupational health & safety. Travel and flexible hours may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental technology, Industrial Hygiene or equivalent in job related experiences.
• Hazwoper certification (40 hours).
• General industry 30 hours certification (minimum or equivalent).
• RCRA Certification (Introductory & Annual Recurrent).
• CPR / First Aid /CPR & AED.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in occupational health & safety and environment.
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
• Flexibility according to workload during the project phases.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to generate new ideas and identify potential for improvement within his working area.

Responsibilities

• Administer the EHS Program and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Develop and fulfill local EHS requirements and obtain approvals.
• Coordinate ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 audits at the location.
• Implement and monitor all EHS processes on site.
• Advise and support all local departments regarding EHS.
• Perform HS Risk and Environmental Aspects Assessments.
• Coordinate EHS facility measurements and waste management.
• Coordinate annual medical checks on site.
• Control of Fire Safety management and equipment.
• Support development projects with EHS coordination.
• Represent the company on health, safety, environmental matters.
• Maintain compliance culture and workplace organization.
