Job summary

conexionlaboralsurestepr seeks an experienced EHS professional to manage Environmental Health and Safety programs in Puerto Rico. The role requires strict regulatory compliance, audits, incident investigations, and training delivery to the workforce.

The candidate will maintain EHS policies, lead investigations, monitor performance metrics, and serve as the point of contact with regulatory agencies, while overseeing hazardous waste and chemical inventories and disposal processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for the role.
• At least five years of experience in an EHS role or equivalent.
• Experience updating EHS policies and procedures to stay compliant with regulations.
• Ability to conduct audits, inspections, and identify mitigations for EHS risks.
• Experience leading incident investigations and recommending corrective actions.
• Experience developing and delivering EHS training for employees.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update EHS policies and procedures to comply with current regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate EHS risks.
• Lead incident investigations and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees.
• Monitor, track, and report on EHS performance metrics.
• Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies during site inspections and audits.
• Manage hazardous waste and chemical inventories and coordinate proper disposal processes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field

Master's degree in related discipline (preferred)
