Job summary

Kinder Morgan's BOLT Intern Program offers a hands-on summer in the energy infrastructure sector. You will contribute to Project Permitting and Regulatory Compliance Systems, supporting permitting, agency communications, and regulatory monitoring.

You'll present your summer learning to department leaders, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain exposure to environmental laws and compliance tools, while working a hybrid schedule from the Houston HQ.

Qualifications

• GPA minimum 3.0
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, TEAMS, Project, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes
• Willingness to travel in the United States
• Houston HQ work location and hybrid schedule

Responsibilities

• Coordinate permitting activities and regulatory reviews
• Interface with project managers, engineers, contractors and KM teams
• Provide regulatory and environmental guidance on permitting
• Support EHS Dept. and attend meetings and site visits as needed
• Gain exposure to environmental laws and act as liaison for permit-related tasks
• Present summer learnings to department leaders and stakeholders
• Assist in developing and enhancing compliance policies and reporting systems
