Job summary

Westlake seeks an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) leader to plan and manage HSE programs across North America, reducing site risk and raising awareness of HSE matters.

You will direct HSE strategies, lead steering teams, and ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations while partnering with Sr. Management. A BS in a related field and 10 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science or Chemistry; 10+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance laws (OSHA 1910, OSHA 1926) and environmental regulations.
• Experience with change management and policy implementation.
• Strong facilitation, interpersonal and computer skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive HSE policies, standards, and operating guidelines.
• Lead a team of HSE professionals ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
• Provide technical expertise on regulatory changes and health risk assessments.
• Support and facilitate HSE budget planning and strategy development.
• Perform incident data analysis and recommend improvements.
• Audit responses and provide leadership for audits and inspections.
