Acara Solutions, Inc. seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager in Portland, OR.

This direct-hire role oversees site safety, occupational health, and environmental programs in a semiconductor manufacturing setting, partnering with Production, Engineering, Facilities, and HR to reduce risk and strengthen safety culture. The role is hands-on and leadership-focused, requiring a strong floor presence, rigorous investigations, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive EHS/industrial safety experience.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing, semiconductor, or highly regulated environments.
• Experience with safety programs, inspections, JHAs, risk assessments, incidents investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead site EHS programs, policies, procedures, audits, inspections, JHAs, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
• Ensure OSHA and environmental regulation compliance, manage chemical safety, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, PPE, and emergency response programs.
• Lead investigations into injuries, near misses, chemical exposures, spills, and incidents with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Partner with Process Safety Management (PSM) teams on PHAs, MOCs, emergency preparedness, and safety drills.
• Maintain a strong production-floor presence while leading EHS training, Safety Committee activities, contractor safety, employee communications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
