Job summary

Worksource Oregon is partnering with a semiconductor manufacturer in Hillsboro, OR to recruit for an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to oversee U.S. EHS programs, compliance and training. The role supports Class 1,000 cleanroom operations and hazardous-material management.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in a technical field, 5+ years of EHS experience, OSHA knowledge and a track record in audits, investigations and corrective actions. Full-time, on-site with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive EHS experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing or significantly improving EHS programs.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance.
• Experience with semiconductor cleanrooms, chemical safety, hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
• Experience conducting audits, incident investigations, root-cause analyses and corrective actions.
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification, or ability to obtain it after hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement U.S. EHS policies, procedures and programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal OSHA, Oregon OSHA and applicable environmental, fire and hazardous-material regulations.
• Support Class 1,000 cleanroom, laboratory and semiconductor-equipment operations.
• Lead chemical safety, hazardous-material and hazardous-waste programs.
• Conduct audits, risk assessments, job-hazard analyses and incident investigations.
• Support equipment installation, servicing, maintenance, relocation and decommissioning.
• Develop employee EHS training and emergency-response programs.
• Manage regulatory documentation, inspections and corrective actions.
• Partner with contractors and customer-site EHS teams.
