Job summary

Spectrum Brands, Inc. is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to lead EHS, security and workers’ compensation for the Home & Garden Division at the Vinita Park Facility in the St. Louis, MO area.

You will develop and implement EHS policies, deliver training, conduct audits, coordinate emergency planning, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an EHS role with knowledge of applicable regulations.
• Manufacturing facility experience required.
• Experience with Process Safety Management/Risk Management Planning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facility’s environmental, health, safety, and sustainability initiatives in alignment with local, group, and corporate objectives.
• Manage safety performance and reporting through electronic EHS Safety Management Systems.
• Ensure OSHA, EPA and all regulatory compliance; support regulatory interactions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures.
• Design and deliver training programs on safety topics and regulatory requirements.
• Serve on the plant Safety Committee and coordinate safety initiatives.
• Oversee emergency action planning and drills with local authorities.
• Ensure compliance with PSM and RMP standards and manage related analyses.
• Conduct EHS audits, communicate findings, and drive corrective actions.
• Prepare environmental reports for federal, state, and local agencies.
• Compile safety and incident data for stakeholders and regulators.
• Support workers’ compensation with incident investigations and return-to-work plans.
• Demonstrate Spectrum Brands’ values and drive service excellence.
