Job summary

Valmont is seeking an EHS Manager for the Valley site (Nebraska) to lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives. This role requires initiative on projects and coordination with regional leadership to align EHS activities with enterprise-wide strategies.

The candidate will drive the EHS playbook implementation, manage data and regulatory reporting, and build a proactive safety culture among production staff. Strong communication and training skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years relevant experience or an Associate's with 8+ years experience or 10 years total experience.
• Manufacturing environment experience with program implementation and training.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to read, interpret and develop safety policies, procedures, training materials and SOPs.
• Person of passion and integrity with drive to excel and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the Senior Plant Manager.
• Sets annual EHS targets for the site to measurably reduce exposure to health and safety risks and environmental impacts.
• Manages EHS data and permits in the site information system for injuries, workers compensation, near-miss incidents and inspections.
• Leads the risk assessment process to identify, evaluate, and control hazards across the site.
• Implements Valmont's global EHS standards including Hazardous Energy Control/Lockout, Confined Space, and Waste Storage.
• Leads the deployment of safety teams and drives ownership of safety activities to maintain compliance and drive improvement.
• Leads incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Develops and maintains training processes to ensure required EHS training is defined and tracked.
• Collects data for reporting and permit submittals for regulatory requirements.
• Serves as the site's initial point-of-contact with national and local environmental, health, and safety agencies.
