Job summary

Neon Aero in Hartford, CT seeks a Manager, Environmental Health & Safety to develop, implement, and continuously improve programs protecting employees, contractors, visitors, and the environment.

This role leads site safety and environmental compliance, partners with leaders to create a proactive, risk-aware culture, and drives improvements across OSHA, EPA, and state requirements with a focus on sharp operational execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
• Five+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, laboratory, energy, logistics, or regulated operations.
• Experience with OSHA, EPA, hazardous waste, stormwater, air, wastewater, chemical management, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, confined space, and emergency response.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, audits, training, and corrective action management.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to interpret regulations and translate requirements into procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS program development, driving policies, procedures, standards, and training.
• Own regulatory compliance across OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state requirements, including permits, inspections, and reporting.
• Lead hazard assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action planning.
• Foster a culture of accountability and hazard reporting through training and coaching.
• Translate EHS metrics into actionable recommendations to reduce risk.
