Job summary

Sherwin-Williams in Moreno Valley, CA seeks an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead all EHS programs for the distribution service center and CTS fleet, ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and state requirements while driving continuous improvement in safety, health, and environmental performance.

You will develop training, manage the EHS system, conduct inspections, and coordinate regulator liaison efforts, targeting OSHA VPP STAR status and strong safety outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher or 4+ years of work experience in environmental, health and safety.
• At least 3 years of work experience in environmental, health, and safety.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety and health training, and awareness programs designed to promote employee participation and support for safety goals
• Plan, coordinate, and lead all site EHS training
• Support employee-led safety committees
• Manage the EHS Management System
• Perform inspections, investigations, and analyses to minimize the potential for accidental losses or environmental releases
• Integrate risk control/loss control into daily operations
• Maintain regulatory compliance reporting, recordkeeping, and monitoring (OSHA, EPA, FMCSA and DOT, etc.)
• Provide timely reports/audits to management and oversight as required
• Develop action plans to pursue or maintain OSHA VPP STAR status
• Manage compliance related to State Worker's Compensation claims and procedures
• Act as liaison between the site and all Federal, State, and Local enforcement agencies
• Administer incentive and award program for CTS
• Act as liaison between site and all EHS Divisional and Corporate support
• Foster a positive safety culture through professional and proactive interactions with employees and maintaining a strong floor presence
